Morgan-McClure
Motorsports
WideOpen has teamed up
with Morgan-McClure Motorsports to show
the driver and fans of the NASCAR Sprint
Cup Series what it means to live "Wide
Open!" Team owners Larry McClure,
Ed McClure, Jerry McClure, Teddy McClure
and Tim Morgan began their racing venture
in 1983 in a small facility with only
the basics essential for running an operation.
Fast forward two decades and one can
see how far the team has come. The
facility, which currently is home to the
veteran race team, is a sprawling building
complete with truck bay large enough to
hold a handful of team transporters, an
engine dyno, set-up rooms, engine prep
rooms, engine tear-down rooms, a complete
paint shop and a fabrication shop. The
impressive race shop located in the rolling
hills of Abingdon, VA employs approximately
60 people dedicated to placing the
familiar No. 4 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
race car in victory lane. Along the way
they've managed to rack up 14
wins, 63 top-five finishes, and 13
pole positions. Wide Open is pleased to
be associated with Morgan-McClure Motorsports
- a team that embodies the "Wide
Open"
lifestyle.
